Are you ready to take your yoga practice to new heights? Look no further than the humble yoga mat!
Choosing the right yoga mat can be overwhelming. Our team’s put together the 19 best yoga mats on the market based on our in-depth, multi-point testing methodology. We specifically rate and personally test products for the factors below. Here’s why investing in a quality mat is an absolute game-changer:
- Grippiness: Imagine this – you’re head down into a relaxing downward dog, and suddenly your hands slip on the floor. Ouch! A good yoga mat provides the grip and stability you need to hold those poses without any slip-ups. Say goodbye to accidental tumbles and hello to zen-like focus!
- Thickness: Your knees, back, and joints deserve some love too. A well-cushioned mat offers a soft landing, relieving pressure points during stretches and transitions. Whether you’re a yoga instructor or a complete newbie, comfort is key to a blissful practice.
- Size and Hygiene: Imagine practicing on a bare floor—yikes! With a yoga mat, you create a clean and dedicated space for your flow. No more wondering about who walked barefoot there last. Plus, it’s a breeze to wipe down after your session. Sanitary and stress-free!
- Alignment and Balance: Balancing poses? No problem! A non-slip mat keeps you steady, even when you’re channelling your inner tree or warrior. No more wobbles or slips—just pure alignment and grace.
- Portability: Embrace the ease of mobility with a yoga mat that effortlessly accompanies you wherever your practice leads.

We all detailed our hands-on experiences with each mat, and our Exercise Physiologist assessed which yoga mats are grippy, thick, hygienic, what size is best, help with alignment and balance and are they easy to transport. Our testing was supported by Liarne and Dr. Jenny’s research of the material used, impact on our joints and body generally and very importantly are they worth your money.

CUSTOMER REVIEW
“This is by far the best cork mat I’ve used!”
“The thick natural rubber offers great support for your knees. Support is the keyword. If you are looking for a very cushiony mat for your knees to sink into, this is not the mat for you.
The cork layer feels much thicker and more durable than any other cork mat I’ve used. It creates a very stable surface. For me, this mat has the perfect balance between knee support and stability for standing balances.
THE GRIP! I feel this mat truly provides a perfect grip. I say perfect because I experience no sliding but also never feel like I’m sticking either. I find that this mat provides great grip even when my hands/feet are completely dry.
The mat has no smell.
The length of this mat is great for taller yogis. I’m 5’11” and love that I can do nearly every yoga pose without my arms or legs stretching beyond the length of the mat.
I love that this mat is 100% eco-friendly!”
Bottom Line on the Luxury Cork Yoga Mat
Our testers really like the alignment lines and stability on this mat. They tested it out over a couple of months and found that it was extremely well cushioned and grippy when they did hot yoga. Overall, a great buy for anyone looking for eco-friendly options too.

CUSTOMER REVIEW
“I’ve had this mat for 8 years and it still looks the same as it did the day I got it”.
“In the last 8 years I’ve probably averaged 150-200 classes a year on it. Is it still slippery? If you’re in a bikram yoga class, shedding buckets of water, you will slip on any mat without a towel. Can I do a 90 minute practice in a heated room without a towel, even if I’m sweating, yes”.
“The biggest pro I see to this mat, other than how well it’s held up, is the density. Once you use this mat, you will not be satisfied with anything else. It’s the most padded, supportive mat I’ve ever used and I haven’t found anything close. I got a thinner, travel Manduka mat, thinking it would be nice to have a lighter mat to carry while walking to my studio and I didn’t use it more than a week before going back to the pro. Bottom line, this mat is one of my most prized possessions”.
Bottom line on the Manduka PRO
I have to admit, many of the team were raving about this mat. We gave this mat to all our instructors and even those who hadn’t used a Manduka PRO before loved it. They liked the dense cushioning and said that made it so extra comfy. This is the one mat that came back with almost no bad feedback – oh except it’s a little heavy if you want to take it travelling.
3. Best Yoga Mat for Women: Liforme Original Yoga Mat
Great for ladies wanting a top-notch non-slip yoga mat with alignment lines too.
Liforme Original Yoga Mat
$149.95
- Patented Alignment System

- Long, wide, 4.2mm thick mat for comfort
PRO’s
- Love the non-slip surface!
- Alignment lines really help
- Great quality mat
- Ideal for hot yoga
CON’s
- Pricier than some mats
- Can be tricky to clean
CUSTOMER REVIEW
“At first, I was skeptical about the Liforme yoga mat because of its alignment lines and high price. Despite practicing yoga for years I hesitated to invest in it. But after trying out multiple mats that didn’t meet my expectations, I decided to give the Liforme mat a shot”.
“Even though I covered my mat with a towel due to my sweaty practice, I was intrigued by the claims of its stickiness. Despite a delivery mishap, the seller provided exceptional customer service, promptly sending a replacement. After using the mat several times, I was amazed by its traction, especially during sweaty sessions. It significantly improved my stability, weight distribution, and alignment, even without the need for mirrors”.
“In hindsight, I regret not investing in the Liforme mat sooner—it truly lives up to its promises and has transformed my yoga practice. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate—this mat is worth every penny”.
Bottom line on the Liforme Original Yoga Mat
Our testers were pretty sceptical about using the alignment lines, due to their many years of experience, they thought they’d be more annoying than helpful.
Liforme proved them wrong! They found that the lines helped to alert them to any balance issues.
They liked the quality, and it is very grippy.
A few of them felt that due to the stickiness it was a bit tricky to clean. But it’s not that difficult to put it under water and give it a once over.
4. Best Yoga Mat for Men: CAMBIVO Yoga Mat for Women and Men, Extra Long and Wide
Good for men and taller people in general, the extra space is the best!
CAMBIVO Yoga Mat for Women and Men, Extra Long and Wide

- Large Non Slip Workout Mat for Yoga

PRO’s

CON’s
- A bit heavier than a normal mat
- Not eco friendly
CUSTOMER REVIEW
“After going through several typical mats, I sought out a longer, thicker yoga mat for my 5’ 11”, 190 pound frame. After 12 month’s use, this mat has exceeded my expectations. It’s heavy. The walk from my car to the yoga studio is a workout on it’s own! But I love the extra length. No more body parts hanging over the edge onto the cold, wooden floor”.
“It’s also plenty thick and it never slips or shifts on the floor. I command extra space on the sometimes crowded yoga studio, and use the roll-up strap for the yoga positions requiring a strap. Great product”.
Bottom line on the Cambivo Yoga Mat for Men and Women, Extra Long and Wide
Jeepers the name of the mat’s a mouthful but otherwise this was a ripper yoga mat for the fellas. They love (and need) the extra length and width to be able to fully stretch out into their poses. One said “It was nice not to have my feet or hands always hanging off the end of the mat”.
Even some of our ‘not so tall’ team members became huge fans of having extra space. They commented that it just felt roomier and freer in class.
They said it feels good on your skin and is well cushioned.

- Affordable for beginners
- Very sturdy
CON’s
- May not be the best non-slip mat
- Straps are not that strong
CUSTOMER REVIEW
“I LOVE this mat! My biggest issue with yoga mats is the odor. This one has absolutely no odor at all! I got the 12 mm thick one and it is perfect for my knees. The carrying handle is very easy to use as well. It does not slip on the floor at all. It does not provide the anti-slippage under my hands while doing yoga as well as my other (very thin) mats, but it is adequate. My feet do not slip at all. I use cream all the time on my hands so this may be the reason”.
“This yoga mat is perfect! It reminds me a lot of the lululemon ones at a lower price point. It’s thick and the texture allows you to not slip during practice. Highly recommend!”
Bottom line on the Feetlu Yoga Mat with Strap
For an affordable yoga mat that gives you a bit of everything this is ideal.
It not only looks great with the two tones of colours, but it also wraps up easily and you carry it with the strap.
We agreed with the comments about the smell but air it out and it’s not an issue.
It’s a good starter yoga mat for general on gentle yoga (styles like Restorative yoga, Ashtanga yoga, Hatha yoga, Vin Yoga, Vinyasa flow, Iyengar yoga).
If you want to do more intense styles, this isn’t your best choice.
6. Best Grippy Yoga Mat: Gaiam Yoga Mat
Good for anyone looking for a lovely looking, non-slip yoga mat.
Gaiam Yoga Mat
$26.33

- Thick Non Slip Exercise & Fitness Mat for All Types of Yoga
- Dimensions are 68″ x 24″ x 5mm
PRO’s
- Gorgeous colours and designs
- Soft and cushiony
- Excellent value for money
CON’s
- Can have a strong smell
CUSTOMER REVIEW
“Love this yoga mat. Started doing yoga and bought this as my first yoga mat and it holds up well and rolls up easy. It also doesn’t bend when your doing yoga and the design is so nice”.
“These yoga mats have an incredibly strong and chemically odor when received – we had to leave ours outdoors and rotate it repeatedly for several days in order for the odor to go away. Since then, they’ve been great though – we actually use them as mats around the house so our dog doesn’t slip on our wood floor and they’ve held up well!”
Bottom line on the Gaiam Yoga Mat
This mat’s surprisingly good quality for the price. It’s very affordable and yet it looks great and is nice and thick, giving plenty of support.
I need to be really straight with you here – nearly all yoga mats have a bit of a pong when you first buy them. The solution is usually just put it out in the fresh air for a day or so and let it air out. Once you’re using it regularly it starts to smell just like you.
We loved the modern designs and it gave a sufficient amount of cushioning for the majority of us.
7. Best 1 inch Thick Yoga Mat: Retrospec Solana Yoga Mat 1″ Thick

Retrospec Solana Yoga Mat 1″ Thick
$35.80

CON’s
- Faint rubber smell

CUSTOMER REVIEW
“Tired of just exercising on the floor, or feeling the floor through a cheap mat? Get this one!”
“It’s thick and comfortable, no more feeling sore from the floor. A couple of reviewers mentioned a smell but mine has no odor that I noticed at all. Just pure comfort. The only minor problem I’ve had is that it still wants to roll itself up but I’m sure that will pass with time. It’s a thick, comfortable mat at a reasonable price and long enough for most people. Recommend highly”.
“I ordered this to use for outdoor workouts and it’s thick and cushy enough that I don’t even feel like I’m on bricks! Highly recommend!”
Bottom line on the Retrospec Solana Yoga Mat 1″ Thick
This feels like you’re walking on clouds, it’s just so soft and spongey it’s lovely.
As far as doing your poses it’s good for most but not for anything you need to stand up and be on one leg. Because of the depth of thickness you can get a bit wobbly if you’re doing anything with a standing balance.
The good points are that if you have bad joints, injuries or you just need some extra support this is top notch! We’ve got about 4 in our team who have old injuries and need to take extra care and they melt into this mat and just love it.
8. Best 2 inch Thick Yoga Mat: BalanceFrom Folding Exercise Mat with Carrying Handles
Good for those with major joint issues who need lots of cushioning and support under them
BalanceFrom Folding Exercise Mat with Carrying Handles
$109.99
- Double-sided 120 by 48-inch mat
- Non-slip surface helps avoid injuries
- Features 2-inch thickness
- Carefully stitched construction for added comfort
PRO’s
- Buy multiple to join together
- Suitable for other fitness activities
- Well made and very supportive
- Lead free durable surface
- Easy storage and transportation
- Carefully stitched for long lasting
CON’s
- May be slight size difference if buying multiple mats
CUSTOMER REVIEW
“Overall I will give the following ratings:
Material: 8/10:
They by no means feel cheap but nor does it feel super expensive either. It is adequate and then some. The vinyl is very comfortable and solid. The mat foam is very firm and absorbs impact like a champ (well as well as a 2 inch thick mat could). It is all you need and then some. In the future I will buy a vinyl tarp to put over it to increase the mat life.
Build quality: 8/10:
While some customers have reported issues with the seams coming upon receiving them, they are in the minority of the reviews and I have yet to see much quality issues besides the occasional thread sticking out. They don’t appear to be loose but maybe just end pieces that didn’t get cut. You really have to look for it, it is by no means noticeable or bothersome or even concerning. The 2 year warranty helps me sleep at night too. The handles seem adequate and the Velcro doesn’t seem flimsy at all.
Set up: 9/10
I am not a fan of Velcro in the first place but to be fair this is just how folding mats lock, still way more convenient and comfortable than puzzle mat, set up isn’t all that fun but they get the job done. While I prefer the ease in the Velcro setup that Gracie Garage mats used to have (Velcro on the flat ends of the mat), these seem to be more secure. Like I said, it is a learning curve but only a small one to align them just right. Taking the mats off and folding them is not too much of a hassle. Just pull the mat from the Velcro strip. I advise you to step or push on the fuzzy Velcro flap while you pull the other mat off to prevent any damage to the flaps. The mats fold up easily and the handle really helps transport them.
Price: 10/10
You seriously can’t beat this quality and $ per sq ft anywhere else”.
Bottom line on the BalanceFrom Folding Exercise Mat with Carrying Handles
BalanceFrom bring cushioning to another level.
Now if you do yoga along with other fitness or gym activities this would be ideal.
Unless you have quite severe injuries or need a lot of support our feedback was that this wouldn’t be ideal for yoga.
If you want a total multipurpose mat for all of your exercise regimes and weights this could be just perfect.
It’s heavy duty and very well made.
9. Best Travel Yoga Mat: Feetlu Foldable Yoga Mat
Good for those travelling and wanting a light and easy to pack in your suitcase mat.
Feetlu Foldable Yoga Mat
$41.79
- Lightweight and easy to store for travel
- Double textured surface of the anti slip workout mat
- Measures 72 x 24 inches
PRO’s
- Compact for travelling
- Great comfort and quality mat
- Easy to fold
- Lovely color and size
CON’s
- Some commented on the thickness of the mat
CUSTOMER REVIEW
“I adore this mat. Not only is it cute, but it’s highly functional as well. The amount of thickness is just right. It’s comfortable, yet I am able to remain grounded. The ease of folding this up and putting it away is exactly why it’s worth every penny! Despite there being no strap (as some commenters have wished for) I find zero difficulty in carrying the mat around when folded up. This truly is the mat to get if you want no fuss when getting it out and putting it away.
I use mine on hardwood floors, and it stays put without any slips for the most part. When the floor is more dirty, there can be the occasional slip of the mat in the center with certain positions, depending on how I move my feet, but mostly, I have zero issues.
Here’s a cool tip: if you’re doing something that requires more support for the knees or forearms, you can keep a spot on the mat folded and you get additional support in that area! This is such a cool feature of having a mat that folds up like this one. I definitely recommend it!”
Bottom line on the Feetlu Foldable Yoga Mat
Our jet setter team members fell in love with this mat. They loved that you can easily fit it into your suitcase, it’s not bulky or heavy.
When they were on holidays, they would just take it down to the beach or local park and easily unfold and it’s ready to go.
They overwhelmingly felt that it was a very comfortable, good quality mat for using away from home.
10. Best Eco-Friendly Yoga Mat: Primasole Yoga Mat Eco-Friendly Material
Good for those of us wanting to support the planet and purchase an eco-friendly yoga mat
Primasole Yoga Mat Eco-Friendly Material
$27.99
- Eco-Friendly Material
- 1/2 inch Non-Slip Yoga Mat
- 4 Colors with Carrying Case & Strap
PRO’s
- Made from (PER)Polymer environmental resin
- Excellent cushioning and grip
- Non-toxic and lightweight
CON’s
- Not suitable for hot yoga
- Slight smell
CUSTOMER REVIEW
“I was looking for a yoga mat that wasn’t super thick and too “plushy” like the cheap one I previously got from TJmax, but I also wanted something that wasn’t paper thin like the ones I found at target. This one has the perfect thickness so you still feel supported and like there’s a mat under you but not like you’re trying to stand on pillows and falling over – love it!”
“I do yoga about 3-4 times a week after my workouts and found that the floor was not particularly comfortable for this and my feet and hands would tend to slide, so I set out to find a yoga mat.
This mat was exactly what I was looking for. It’s comfortable, my hands and feet don’t slide around and it continues to look good as new. I like that it not only came with elastic straps that function as a handle to carry it but a bag to store and carry it in as well.
My ONLY complaint is I wish it were a little longer but I could have just found a longer mat.
All in all, a great product at this price”.
Bottom line on the Primasole Yoga Mat Eco-Friendly Material
We all know that yogis are hunting high and low for eco-friendly yoga mats now that we know about the problems with our planet.
This mat not only helps support the planet but is very good value for money.
It wasn’t ideal for anyone really sweaty or doing hot yoga because it slipped at times. If you do other more gentle styles of yoga this is a very good mat with wonderful cushioning to keep you comfy.

CUSTOMER REVIEW
“I absolutely adore this eKOlite yoga mat. It’s truly a game-changer, although I do have one small gripe – I wish it were a bit thicker. At 4mm, it’s thinner than what I’m used to. Nevertheless, I’m definitely holding onto it because it’s just fantastic for my yoga practice. The grip it offers is unmatched; I can confidently hold poses without worrying about slipping, especially during downward dog.
I already own the eKOlite travel yoga mat and it’s been my faithful companion for two years now. When the pandemic hit, I brought it indoors because my other yoga mat just didn’t compare in quality. Recently, I had to purchase this new one when I forgot my travel mat while traveling. Trust me, trying to do yoga on a towel was a disaster.
One of the main reasons I stick with eKOlite mats is their durability. My old one still feels as sticky and reliable as the first day I got it, despite my less-than-ideal cleaning habits. Plus, the fact that it’s eco-friendly, made from natural tree rubber, is a huge bonus for me. Oh, and the extra length on this one is perfect for my height – I’m 5’7″ and those extra 3 inches make all the difference.
Sure, there’s a bit of a rubbery smell at first, but that fades with time. And while the 4mm thickness initially worried me about knee comfort, I did a little comparison with a softer mat, and guess what? The eKO mat won hands down. It’s dense and stable, offering consistent support no matter the yoga pose”.
Bottom line on the Manduka EKO Lite
We were hoping for something good here and the Manduka EKO Lite didn’t disappoint.
Some of our team members were surprised how effective it was when they were sweating buckets during an intense yoga session, and they had no slipping at all.
It’s light to carry and looks funky.
If you need mega support don’t get this mat because it’s not very thick, but in saying that it’s perfect for most people.

CUSTOMER REVIEW
“I have a heavy-duty mat I use for hot yoga, but it weighs eight pounds and I was looking for something lighter for travel. A classmate was using this mat; it was just so strikingly beautiful that it caught my attention, so I asked her about it after class. She was nice enough to let me handle the mat (“Excuse me, can I fondle your mat?”) is a bit awkward.
It’s not the most cushiony mat I own, but it works just fine, especially in a hotel room where I am placing the mat on a rug. The mat is constructed of something called vegan suede, which sounds like an oxymoron. Whatever vegetables gave their lives for this product, it is greatly appreciated. The silky feel of the mat ads a spa-like aspect to my yoga practice on the road.
Highly recommend”.
Bottom line on the POPFLEX Vegan Suede Yoga Mat
You can rest assured that this mat is 100% Vegan.
So, if that’s important to you this is a modern, stylish, plush mat which holds your grip when it gets a bit wet.
I didn’t realise this mat was designed by Cassey Ho, fitness entrepreneur and founder of the cult-favorite workout brand, Blogilates.
So that explains why this mat is so uber cool but also considers our needs for eco-friendly material.

CUSTOMER REVIEW
“This mat is wonderful, and super comfortable! I have scoliosis pretty bad, so finding a thick, comfortable yoga mat to lay my back on was impossible, until I found this one!
One downfall, it’s near impossible to hold your balance/stance when on one foot, hand, or your head on this mat, and I think it’s just the thickness of it that makes it that way, and I’ve never had this issue with the thin, regular, yoga mats. I will still keep using this one though, as it’s the most comfortable!
It does come with a strap to hold it together for storage, and a strap for carrying, which I absolutely love!!
Easy to keep clean, too!”
Bottom line on the Amazon Basics Thick Exercise Yoga Mat
We all know by now that Amazon isn’t just a huge website for us to buy things from – they see a gap in the market, and they fill it.
This yoga mat is a basic but solid choice. It’s got a bit of everything – it’s thick, size and value for money are on target.
If you are a beginner or want a more affordable to some of the alternative this is the mat for you.
15. Best Yoga Mat for Hot Yoga: Gaiam Cork Yoga Mat

Gaiam Cork Yoga Mat

- Great for Hot Yoga

PRO’s
- Slip resistant
- Very comfortable

CON’s

CUSTOMER REVIEW
“I love this mat! At first I was sceptical because when I unrolled it, it wouldn’t lay flat and you can’t roll it with the cork side on the inside…so the ends curl down when laid out. However, after a couple of uses, when I unroll it, it now lays flat. And it is the best mat I’ve gotten so far! And I’ve tried quite a few.
It is amazingly light – I never knew a mat could be so light!
And it is the most grippy mat I’ve ever had. Not a sticky grippy, but a really comfortable grippy. So, no slipping happening at all! And the hotter I get, the more grip there is. It’s awesome. And it has no smell at all! So, in child’s pose, I was used to smelling a light rubber smell with my previous mats. But with this one – no smell at all. And the thickness is just right – I have great balance on this mat and it doesn’t hurt my knees. And as a bonus, it is so very pretty!
So, all in all, it is a great purchase! Amazing quality for the price! I’ve used it 6 days a week since I got it, and I don’t regret it one bit!
Great yoga mat!!”
Bottom line on the Gaiam Cork Yoga Mat
Look this isn’t a luxury cork yoga mat but it is a cork yoga mat and does a good job of it too.
Our team liked it overall, they did comment that it was on the thinner side but for most that didn’t matter.
It’s comfy, non-slip and keeps away the bacteria.
It’s a basic, eco-friendly cork mat which does a very good job – especially if you want to try hot yoga and your current mat won’t do the job.

CUSTOMER REVIEW
“I’ve been thoroughly impressed with this mat. Whether it’s hot flow or traditional yoga, it’s been a game-changer for me. Unlike my previous cushy mat, which required a towel for hot yoga and caused issues in balance poses due to its softness, this one tackles sweat like a champ. It’s incredibly grippy, even when I’m dripping with perspiration. Surprisingly, it strikes a perfect balance between support and comfort, making it ideal for both joint relief and balance poses.
Despite being shorter than average, I’ve grown fond of the XL size for the extra space it provides. However, its susceptibility to scuffing has been a bit of a disappointment. Even upon arrival, it showed signs of wear, likely due to transit. While it hasn’t affected its performance yet, I’m concerned about its longevity. A tougher surface would definitely improve the overall experience.
Regarding odor, there’s a slight rubbery smell initially, but it dissipates over time. I’ve used Gaiam’s mat wash to help with this, which seems to have made a difference. Overall, I’m thrilled with this mat, but the issue with scuffing leaves me a tad apprehensive about its durability in the long run”.
Bottom line on the Gaiam Dry-Grip Yoga Mat
What a lovely feeling mat on your skin, that topcoat feels good.
Not only does it feel good, but our team of instructors were shocked at how well it absorbed their sweat too.
They agreed with Gaiam that this is one of the best mats for Hot yoga, Power Yoga or any sweaty activities you are doing.
It did have a smell initially but that faded out quickly, and it has good cushioning.

I have to admit, they didn’t stop raving about this mat.
We gave this mat to all our instructors and even those who hadn’t used one of them before loved it. I have to confess many of them have this as their all-time fave mat prior to testing. Once testing was complete, even the newbies were in love!
They felt the difference the dense cushioning made and said it was ultra comfy.
This is the mat that came back with literally no issues, oh except it’s a little heavy if you want to take it travelling.

“ActiveGear truly makes high quality stuff and this yoga mat is no different. Even down to the packaging… it is top of the line!
Once I rolled it out I realized it’s the perfect intermediate size for the living room or to bring along camping. Not too heavy or bulky when rolled up and easy to fit in the back seat or a trunk or even a tent. The texture is grippy by not aggressive. It can confidently be used with socks, shoes, or barefoot. The surface seems durable enough for years of moderate use and travel. The level of padding is perfect for stretching, yoga, or using for basic strength training. It might be slightly too small for two people to use at the same time unless you’re back to back. It would be worth it to buy a second in that case ;).
The storage bag it comes in makes for easy and neat storage. As with other ActiveGear products, they really thought out the peripheral details. Roll up the mat and it fits *easily* into the bag. No shoving or fighting the bag :). The material of the bag is durable and shows no risk of tearing or fraying. The included high quality HUGE towel was a nice touch. And even the towel fits back into the bag without struggle. The velcro straps aren’t necessary but make for an extra touch of quality from ActiveGear”.
Bottom line on the Large Yoga Mat 6’x4’x8mm
Our male instructors enjoyed the freedom of movement with this mat. Most of them had been using longer yoga mats already but hadn’t considered the wider mat too.
They said they felt no restriction when they were doing their yoga practise and they enjoyed that feeling.
Strangely enough none of our team were really keen on doing yoga with someone right next to them – they felt that even when it’s a group class they still like their own space.
So, the extra width and length was a hit for our team!

CUSTOMER REVIEW
“Got this cork yoga mat a week ago, so far I am pretty happy with it. Here are a few thoughts if you are considering buying it.
Pros:
1. The mat came packaged nicely and is very lightweight, which is good for me since sometimes I have to carry it to the park to practice. I really like the color and texture of the cork as I can see the growth rings of the tree, which look very nice and makes me feel very connected to nature.
2. I used the mat for close to a week on my wooden floor. The mat is definitely non-slip and has very good grip on the cork side, which is very important because I have slipped many times in the past using PVC mats. I normally sweat a lot during my practice, and surprisingly the sweat makes the grip even stronger. I think it is due to the texture of the cork. The cork material used in this mat appears to be a higher quality material compared to other cork mats that I previously used. The cork mats I used before look like the same material as those in cup coasters, and they started cracking after a week of use whereas this one seems more durable.
Finally, the thickness of this mat provides a lot of cushion for your knees. It is great for doing yoga/workouts on hard surfaces, whether it’s indoor or outdoor. I’ve used it once for my gym’s outdoor classes and so far it feels good.
Cons:
1. Before the initial use, something heavy needs to be placed on the mat to flatten it out though it’s not a huge issue.
2. The mat needed to be aired out when I first unpackaged it because of the smell of the new cork. After placing it in my garage for a few hours, the smell from the mat dissipated.
Final thoughts: if you are looking for an eco-friendly, non-slip, lightweight, durable yoga mat, this is a great choice”.
Bottom line on the CorkTec Non Toxic Non Slip Thick Cork Yoga Mat
The CorkTec mat looks stunning I’ve got to say!! woohoo it’s gorgeous.
We loved the mega grippiness of it and even when we were dripping wet it didn’t let us down.
We felt safe and secure doing our Asana‘s on this little stunner.
It was also noticeable of the quality and dedication that’s gone into the making of the mat.
It feels nice and thick but also lightweight to cart around. We totally loved this mat.
